The 13-year-old Fraser Valley girl who became Canada’s first locally acquired human case of H5N1 avian flu no longer needs supplemental oxygen and stopped being infectious weeks ago, her doctors say in a case report published this week.
A 31-year-old man died in hospital after falling from his bicycle and striking a parked vehicle on rue Dépôt in downtown Sherbrooke on New Year’s Eve. Police say the death is not considered criminal.
